Tyson Cole makes cut for James Beard finalists

Congrats to Tyson Cole of Uchi/Uchiko, who has been announced as a finalist for the 2011 James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef: Southwest.  Cole shares the honor with fellow Texas finalists, Bruce Auden of Biga on the Banks in San Antonio and Bryan Caswell of Houston’s Reef.  The competition is rounded out by Aspen, Colorado’s Ryan Hardy of Montagna at Little Nell and Saipin Chutima of Lots of Siam in Las Vegas.  The award winners will be announced on May 9th at the Foundation’s Awards Ceremony and Gala Reception.
